The Love Story of John and Tetiana, Portugal, September 30, 2025
In early summer 2024, John reached out to our agency in search of his soulmate. He had recently moved from America to Portugal, finishing an active career to enjoy a peaceful life by the ocean. At 63, John was in excellent physical shape—energetic, confident, and with a clear vision of the kind of woman he wanted to share his happiness with. We began introducing him to wonderful women, and John always gave warm feedback about each of them. But after meeting Tetiana, his feedback was simply divine — it was clear that she had touched his heart.
John didn’t hesitate and almost immediately invited Tetiana to visit him in Portugal. Our constant support, Tetiana’s trust in the agency, a thoughtful consultation with matchmaker Natali Koval, and knowledge from Natali Koval’s course “Marriage. To a Foreigner”—especially the module about visiting a man at his home—helped her make this brave step and continue developing the relationship afterward.
Tetiana had joined our agency in late spring 2024. Originally from Luhansk, she had lost her home and successful career but managed to rebuild her life in Cherkasy. Despite her fear and the language barrier (as her English was not very strong at that time), Tetiana decided to take a chance — and it was the right decision.
At first, their communication wasn’t easy: a translator, dictionary, drawings, gestures… and sometimes, just quiet moments. But something special grew between them — love. John saw their shared future in her eyes, and Tetiana felt that John was the man she had been searching for all her life.
By October, after several trips together, John invited Tetiana to move in with him. It wasn’t easy for her to leave Ukraine, but her son was already an adult serving his country, her friends had scattered around the world, and her heart told her that her future was with John.
They began living together — romantic yet simple, full of love and care. Tetiana started studying English and Portuguese to communicate more freely and to understand John more deeply. John also took part in charity projects of the Kyiv Lions Club, led by Natali Koval. The couple traveled across Europe, discovering shared favorite places. They celebrated Tetiana’s birthday in Verona — and it was there that John proposed.
If formal procedures in Portugal had been easier, the couple would have married much sooner. Still, after a long bureaucratic process and endless paperwork, they officially tied the knot on September 30, 2025. Their wedding became a symbol that true love knows no distance, no language barrier, and is not afraid of bureaucracy.
We wish them a beautiful journey ahead! May their life in Portugal be filled with light, happiness, and love that they so generously share with each other.
